Vivo is set to expand its smartphone portfolio in Kenya soon. The company is rumoured to be working on the launch of the vivo V19 smartphone that should be happening soon. The exact date of the launch is still secret but that should be happening soon.

The launch of the vivo V19 is Kenya will be the company’s key launch in the country this year but it will not be the first smartphone in 2020. The V19 is considered a midrange and should compete with some of the latest devices from OPPO and Huawei including the OPPO Reno3, A92, Huawei Nova 7i and many more.

The vivo V19 should be the successor to the V17 and V17 Pro from last year. I reviewed the vivo V17 Pro late last year and loved every bit of it. I am expecting the same experience with the V19 which I will hopefully get to review when it is available in the country.

Vivo V19 Specifications

As for the vivo V19 specifications, we are getting some very good ones that you expect from this series. The phone comes with a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display that has a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. There is a fingerprint sensor under this display and this has been the trend with most smartphones within this price range recently.

The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor that the company has paired with 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of internal storage space. Th phone will come with Android 10 preinstalled with FunTouch OS custom UI on top.

The vivo V19 will have a quad camera setup at the back made up of a 48MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide sensor, 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, the V19 has a dual setup made up of 32MP and 8MP sensors.

The vivo V19 comes with a 4,500 mAh battery that supports 33W FlashCharge 2.0. This is good and I am really looking forward to interacting with this phone when it is available locally.

I will update you on the availability of the vivo V19 in Kenya when I get that information.
